Despite the CEDIA Expo Cancellation, Company Will Donate Nine Epiphone Guitars to Worthy Charity
LARGO, Fla. — Sept. 15, 2020 — Just Add Power, a leader in video-over-IP distribution announced that the company will continue its annual partnership with Guitars For Vets (G4V), donating nine acoustic guitars and a year’s worth of lessons to American veterans.
For the past four years at the CEDIA Expo, Just Add Power has held a guitar giveaway at its booth to raise awareness for G4V and its mission. Because of the movement of CEDIA 2020 to a virtual event due to the COVID-19 crisis, the company will donate nine Epiphone PRO-1 Vintage Sunburst guitars directly to the charity, with a plan to resume the popular giveaways in person at CEDIA 2021 in Indianapolis.
“While we will miss the show, the booth, and the giveaway this year, the mission of G4V is too important to us,” said Taft Stricklin, sales team manager for Just Add Power. “With G4V, vets have a chance to overcome personal obstacles and learn, bond, and create music with other vets. So, while we won’t get to see the joy on a lucky winner’s face at CEDIA, we count ourselves lucky that we can help our veterans by donating brand-new guitars to this great charity.”
Founded in 2007, G4V donates guitars to veterans using the medium of music to help them readjust to life after service and cope with the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder. G4V currently operates more than 80 chapters in 40 states across the U.S. with the assistance of over 200 volunteers nationwide.
